Concentric Returns
Concentric is a unique layered wall or ceiling sconce light consisting of five round, satin white planes. Colors applied to the back of the first four layers glow subtly in bright natural light, even when the fixture is off, growing increasingly brilliant when the lamp is turned on, especially in darkness. Concentric is the centerpiece of the award-winning Heliocentric lighting collection by Rob Zinn for blankblank. Available in a variety of multicolored and monocolored options.
Concentric was originally designed by Rob Zinn for blankblank in 2014, and featured at the WestEdge design fair where it received a mention by Architectural Digest. It was then licensed to and produced by marset from 2016 to 2023, offered in three colorways with an LED panel and translucent cylindrical insert. marset's Concentric was the 2016 winner of Interior Design Magazine's award for Best Lighting, Sconce and Editors’ Award for Best Lighting at ICFF, and been featured by the following design magazines and newspapers from around the world:
Concentric is currently available in one size with a 32″Diameter and 6.5″Depth
The center of this symmetrical, circular fixture is located over the center of American junction boxes, which makes it easy to install in pre-existing locations or to serve as a stunning centerpiece to any space.
Up to a 100W-equivalent standard medium base soft white bulb is recommended. A unique magnetic steel front plane, aluminum rear planes, spacers and canopy are all powdercoated in Satin White. Concentric is designed for hardwiring with a standard US junction box and best when installed with a dimmer switch. Assembly is required. Concentric is made in Northern California and is UL listed dry-to-damp and CE compliant for EU & UK installation, socket rated to 250V. Concentric may also be used with color-changing Smart lightbulbs, bulbs are not included to avoid breakage and to allow you to select your favorite light source.
