Rob Zinn attended Pratt Institute as a recipient of the First Place National Talent Scholarship and graduated in 1996 with numerous awards and distinctions. In 2000, he returned to Pratt as a Professor of 3-Dimensional Design, spending over three years teaching visual abstraction in the Industrial Design Department. He has over eight years of consulting experience with award-winning design firms, and has shown his artwork in galleries in New York City, as well as the Parrish Art Museum on Long Island. Rob designed the Heliocentric Lighting collection for blankblank in 2004. He has since expanded the line into large scale art, developed several new directions in furniture, and is currently developing site specific works for numerous blankblank interior projects.
