Mike Simonian and Maaike Evers are founders of the progressive design studio Mike & Maaike in San Francisco.
Maaike Evers is Dutch, Mike Simonian, Californian. These distinct backgrounds inform a diverse body of work marked by experimentation, substance and strong conceptual narratives. Their work spans from artful projects, to wearables, furniture design, and industrial design collaborations, all rooted in new experiences.
Their work has been widely featured in publications and exhibited at galleries, shows and museums worldwide including the MoMA, the Pasadena Museum of California Art, ICFF in NY, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, the Biennale Internationale Design in Saint Etienne, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design and the Design Museum in London, and the artifacts collection of the Henry Ford Museum.
